La photographie et la sculpture
For me, the true judge of a work of art, especially a sculpture, is the curious, smiling, and interested gaze of a child.
Pour moi, le vrai juge d'une oeuvre d'Art, a fortiori une sculpture, c'est le regard curieux, souriant et intéressé d'un enfant.
Why Am I Sculpting a Medusa?
She is the most terrifying figure of Antiquity. She has snake-like hair and a gaze that petrifies. She is also an idea, one of the most represented characters in art, dating back 1,800 years. She remains a vivid and ever-evolving figure. The first mention of this mythological character appears in Homer’s work in the 8th century BCE, where she is referred to as the Gorgons.
